In Loving Memory

It has been awhile since I have posted anything, or read anyone else's postings. I could claim that I have been busy, I have, but that is not the reason. I have recently lost a pet, the "son" I never had, Murray. He suffered a series of small strokes and we had to have him "put-down." He was ten. And thus, my heart has not been in writing . . .
Murray was a Welsh Pembrook Corgi. A breed that was made to herd sheep and cattle. Their little bodies were close to the ground (seven inch legs!) so that they could "tuck & roll" should a pissy cow kick out at them. When they (Murray) would run the white fluffy fur at their butt and hind quarters (looked like a furry skirt) would flash, making them appear rather comical. Murray loved to herd socker-balls and referee my five cats. He made sure that they played fair and didn't fight.
His little trails that he would make along the fence line and up our little wooded hill are starting to fade, but his memory won't. He was loving, loyal, and funny. His love was unconditional. I could share all sorts of "Murray" moments but I don't wish to abuse anyone who is reading and it wouldn't do for me to weep on my laptop. I thank eveyone that has had a kind word and gesture while I have been trying to manage through my grief. I know in my heart that it was for the best and that my "little-man" is no longer suffering.

ahh darn it so you had to make ME cry on my computer. Murray was a great dog, and could substitute as an ottoman, too! He was sweet, and funny, hard on soccer balls and stuffed ducks alike. I remember taking that picture you posted of his sweet face. He is missed.
